Religious and spiritual traditions in India hold nature with the utmost regard. Nature is considered the most beautiful and self-evident of corporeal manifestations of Shakti, the Divine Feminine. The presence of divinity one experiences in nature cannot be negated. Maybe that’s why we worship the sacred lifelines of our glorious land, its rivers. Ganga and Yamuna are perhaps the most revered of Rivers in India.
A holy dip in the sacred waters of these rivers is said to wash away one’s mortal sins. No wonder millions throng to these revered rivers in search of the elusive touch of salvation. The sacred shrines at Yamunotri and Gangotri are built to commemorate the sacred origins of Rivers Yamuna and Ganga respectively. While both the temples are built close to the actual glacial origins of these rivers, one needs to embark on perilous treks to witness them. But you can pay your due respects to the sacred rivers at these temples and breathe in the sacred air characteristic of such sacred origin. A pilgrimage to both the sacred shrines is popularly referred to as Do Dham Yatra. Join us for a pilgrimage to both Yamunotri and Gangotri with utmost regard to the ecological, spiritual and religious significance of the region.
