Kuensel Phodrang: It is a gigantic Buddha statue amidst the majestic mountains of Bhutan. The statue was actually carved in China and after its completion; it was transported to Bhutan in olden times under the reign of Druk Desi who ruled Bhutan in the early 18th century.

Motithang Takin Preserve: A tree-lined preserve hidden deep inside the forest area of Bhutan has always been a topic to cover by everyone while journeying in this country. Although, in early days it was a zoo but upon the kings thought the animals were freed because he didn’t believe in captivity.

Anim Dratshang (Nunnery): This nunnery is home to around 60 nuns and it is also must visit place in Bhutan since it is greatly revered by the people of this country. While walking towards this nunnery, you will a panoramic view of Tashichho Dzong.

Folk Heritage Museum: It is located on the outskirts of Thimphu but it also a must visit place in Bhutan and has a variety of things to check out. The journey alone will give you the insight into the deep ancient culture of Bhutan.

After having a delicious breakfast, get ready to proceed with a full-day excursion to some of the nearby destinations from Thimphu. The tour manager will guide along this whole journey.

The first stop you will make it at Do Chula Pass, it is situated at an altitude of 1,200 meters above the sea level. The pass will give a panoramic view of the many other majestic mountain ranges. Spend some peaceful time here at this place and after that, proceed towards Chimi Lhakhang and Punakha Dzong. Punakha is a piece of art located on the confluence of Mo Chu and Pho Chu.

Or you can also pick another itinerary which includes a visit to Tiger’s Nest in Paro valley. Here, you can also enjoy some adventurous activities and horse ride. With this, you will further follow your way to Taktsang Lhakhang – a monastery which has its root deep into the forest but a very beautiful architectural piece to check out once.
