Sri Lanka Tour Itinerary from Cochin
Day 1 :Arrival at Cochin
Cochin – Arrival at Colombo – Halt at Pinnawala Orphanage – Transfer to Kandy
Upon your arrival at the Colombo Airport, you will be welcomed by our tour representative who will assist you towards your private vehicle. Today, you will be driven to Kandy which is a largest city in the central Sri Lanka. It is also home to various UNESCO world heritage sites and colorful houses.
En-route to Kandy, you will stop for a visit at Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage where wild elephants of South Asia are nursed and nurtured in a 25-acres of land area and amidst the lush green beauty of the nature.
On reaching Kandy, you will first check-in to your hotel room and then, after a quick freshen up you will proceed with your sightseeing tour. Today, you will visit some famous places like Royal Botanic Garden – a royal garden which has a beautiful green walking track and is famous for having 400 species of flower, Tooth Relic Temple – local people worship it as Sri Dalada Maligawa, is an ancient Buddhist temple where an old relic of the tooth of Buddha is hugely prayed.
After this guided tour, you will drive back to your hotel room in Kandy and enjoy your overnight stay.
Day 2 :Kandy – a scenic ride to Nuwara Eliya
After having breakfast, you will resume your journey to Nuwara Eliya and will witness a rather soothing views from your private transfer. On reaching Nuwara Eliya, you will check-in to your hotel room and then after a quick freshen up, you will proceed with your sightseeing tour of Nuwara Eliya.
You will visit some of the famous places like Pedro Tea Estate – famous among the traveler for taking them on a tour of how tea is actually prepared, Victoria Park – popularly considered, a very well-maintained park in all of South Asia is famous for a quiet walk and contemplation, Gregory Lake – a picturesque lake where one can row and can also eat various street food cuisines from the various food stalls standing on the vicinity.
Afterwards, you will be driven back to your hotel room in Nuwara Eliya and enjoy your overnight stay amidst the blissful environment.
Day 3 :Nuwara Eliya – Drive back to Colombo
You will be informed to wake up early today because you will be transferred to Colombo which is about 175 km away from Nuwara Eliya so a long distance has to be covered today.
On reaching Colombo, you will check-in to your hotel room and then after a quick freshen up, you will proceed with your sightseeing tour of Colombo.
You will visit some of the famous places like Galle Face Green – a very popular picturesque waterfront where food stalls in the vicinity only makes you feel holidaying, Viharamahadevi Park – a exercise and leisure park where people come to enjoy outdoor activities, Gangaramaya temple – a spiritual abode of Lord Buddha where people come to meditate in silence, Independence Memorial Hall – where many famous scriptures detailing how Independence is achieved in this country is displayed for its visitor.
Afterwards, you will be driven back to your hotel room in Colombo and enjoy your overnight stay.
Day 4 :Colombo – Departure for Cochin
After breakfast, you will be transferred back to Colombo Airport from where you will board a return flight to Cochin and with this, our representative will say his goodbye to you.
