Kerala Houseboat Tour Itinerary
Day 1 :Arrival in Cochin – Munnar
Once you arrive at Cochin airport our tour representative will greet you and assist you straight away to your allotted bus which will be headed towards Munnar which will be a journey of 4 hours. Once you arrive at Munnar you will be immediately checked in to your allotted hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 2 :Munnar Sightseeing
Early in the morning, after having your breakfast you will be made to proceed on for a sightseeing tour of this beautiful town. You will be taken to a number of places of tourist interests like tea gardens, Mattupetty Lake and dam, echo point, Kundala Lake and Rajmalai. You will also be made to head for a sightseeing visit to Eravikulam National Park – home to the popular and rare mountain goat. You will then be taken back to your hotel back in Munnar for an overnight stay.
Day 3 :Munnar – Thekkady
Early in the morning after having your breakfast you will be made to head on for your next destination in Thekkady which is situated at a distance of 3 hours and 15 mines. Once you arrive in Thekkady you will be made to check in to your allotted hotel where you will be spending the night. You will also be taken for a sightseeing expedition of the nearby areas including tea and coffee gardens, spice plantations and aromatic plant cultivations.
Day 4 :Thekkady – Kumarakom
Once you have your breakfast in the morning you will be made to head towards your allotted houseboats which will take you to Kumarakom. You will be taken on a backwater journey to Kumarakom which will be an extremely soothing and calming experience. You will be made to stop over at the glorious Kumarakom bird sanctuary where you will be able to spot some incredibly magnificent migratory birds. Later on you will also be made to stop at Vembanad Lake.
Day 5 :Kumarakom – Kovalam
Post breakfast, early in the morning, you will be made to check out from the houseboat at Kumarakom. You will then be driven to Kovalam which is situated at a distance of 4 hours and 35 mines. Upon your arrival at Kovalam you will be made to check in to your allotted hotel here for an overnight stay. The evening time is free for you to explore the nearby gleaming beach where you can relax and stroll by the water.
Day 6 :Explore Kovalam
Kovalam is a popular destination for meditation and yoga therapies owing to its closeness to a water body which exudes immense calmness. After having your breakfast in the morning your relaxing day will commence where you will be made to do some transcendental meditation, ayurvedic oil massages and yoga classes. After a relaxing day, you will be made to head back to your hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 7 :Kovalam – Alleppey
Early in the morning, you will be driven to your next breathtaking destination of Alleppey which is situated at a distance of 4 hours and 15 mines. En route you will be greeted with some of the most enthralling views of the stunning surroundings. Once you arrive at Alleppey you will be transferred to a comfortable houseboat where you will be staying the night. You will be taken all along some of the most magical looking stream corridors while passing by some traditional hamlets, paddy fields and lakes.
Day 8 :Alleppey – Cochin Departure
After having a wholesome breakfast in the morning you will be made to vacate the houseboat and made to head on for Cochin airport where you will be made to board the flight heading towards your desired destination, ending your journey with us.
