Maharashtra Jyotirlinga Tour with Shirdi

On reaching Mumbai airport/railway station you’ll be greeted by our tour representative who escorts you to your pre-booked hotel. Check in, freshen up and later proceed for short sightseeing trip of Mumbai during which you visit some of the top attractions of Mumbai, the tinsel town and the country’s commercial capital. The places we visit include places like Marine Drive, Prince of Wales Museum, Jain temple, Parliament House. Post sightseeing we return back to hotel for dinner and night stay.

Next day we set out for a voyage to the famous Elephanta Caves. You can reach the caves by ferry from Gateway of India. Elephanta, a UNESCO recognized World Heritage Site consisting in a conglomeration of rock-cut cave temples. These temples located atop an island amid the Sea of Oman feature exquisite rock art symbolizing the cult of Lord Shiva. Among the many caves of Elephanta, the cave named as Mahesh Murti Cave holds prime spiritual significance. In this particular cave temple, Lord Shiva is portrayed in His three major roles; that of creator, destroyer and preserver. Post Elephanta visit, we return to hotel for dinner and night stay.

Post breakfast we head for exploring some other notable attractions of Mumbai such as the Bombay Museum, Mahalaxmi temple, Siddhivinayak temple, Kanheri Caves. Also, you’ll be taken for shopping at some of the top shopping hubs of Mumbai such as Crawford market, Zaveri Bazaar, Colaba causeway market. Post sightseeing and shopping, we’ll return to hotel for lunch and relaxation. In the evening, we’ll leave for our next destination, Ahmadabad. On reaching, we’ll check into our pre-booked hotel for dinner and night stay.

Post breakfast, we’ll set out for a city tour of Ahmedabad. The first in the agenda of our day’s city tour is Calico Museum of Textiles. This is one of the most celebrated museums of the country and is one of a kind museum. The museum preserves the rich textile heritage of the country and acquaints you with a vast repertoire of rare textiles and fabrics from varied remote locations of the state and country. After Calico museum, we visit some of the other notable attractions of Ahmedabad such as Kankaria Lake, Sidi Saiyyed Mosque, Bhadra Fort, Gandhi ashram. Post sightseeing we return to hotel for dinner and night stay.

Next day we embark on a museum tour in the city of Ahmedabad. The city is dotted with museums that beautifully showcase the rich historic past, crafts and cultural traditions of the state. The museums of Ahmedabad that we visit during this museum tour include Hussain Doshi Gufa, Sabarmati Ashram, Sardar Patel National Memorial, Auto World Vintage car museum, Shreyas Folk Museum, Patang kite museum. At the end of this fascinating museum tour we return to hotel for dinner and night stay.

Next morning we board flight to Kolkata. On reaching, our tour representative escorts you to your pre-booked hotel. Check in, freshen up and relax for some time. Later, you may set out on foot to explore some of the local markets in this ‘city of joy’. Back to hotel for dinner and night stay.

After breakfast, we set out to explore some of the most notable attractions of this ‘Land of Rasgullas’ or the ‘Land of Tagore’. The places we visit in the course of this sightseeing tour include Victoria Memorial, Indian Museum, Science City, State Archaeological Museum, Belur math, Vidyasagar Setu. Post sightseeing we return to hotel for dinner and night stay.

Post breakfast, we board flight to the Bagdogra airport. On reaching you’ll be escorted by our tour representative to the scenic hill town of Darjeeling nestled amid the verdant green hills, sprawling tea plantations and mist covered hill slopes. As we drive uphill to the hill town of Darjeeling the gurgling River Teesta will give you company all along the route. Upon reaching you’ll check into the pre-booked hotel and later in the evening you can charter the meandering hilly pathways and make your way to the bustling mall of Darjeeling. After spending few hours at the mall, return back to hotel for dinner and night stay.

Next day post breakfast we make an excursion to Mirik; a slumberous hamlet cradled in the lap of the tea gardens and amid the scenic hills of Darjeeling. Mirik consists in a beautiful lake set in the midst of an emerald meadow. On reaching, you may spend some serene hours by the lakeside and may even go for a memorable boat ride on the Mirik Lake. You may also walk your way through the arched footbridge to the other side of the lake and capture some beautiful pictures of the spell bounding scenery into your camera reels. Post excursion we return back to our hotel in Darjeeling for night stay.

Next day before day break we’ll depart for the Tiger Hills. If you are lucky enough, the sky will be clear and you’ll get to see the sun rising from behind the famous Kanchenjunga Peak. The crimson rays of the sun paint the snow clad peak in myriad ethereal colors and give you one of the most unforgettable visuals of your life. You can also catch a glimpse of Mt Everest from Tiger Hills provided the weather is clear. Later during the day, we visit the two important museums of Darjeeling; i.e. the Mountaineering museum and Everest Museum. After that we proceed to visit the Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park. Post Zoo visit, we return to hotel for lunch and rest. Later in the evening we set out to pay a visit to the serene Ghum monastery post which we come back to hotel for dinner and night stay.

Next morning post breakfast we retrace back to Bagdogra airport and board flight to country capital Delhi. On reaching we check into hotel and for the remaining part of the day, you are free to spend the time at leisure. Dinner and night stay at the hotel.

Next morning we set out for a fascinating museum tour of Delhi and the museums we visit this museum tour include Craft museum, Air Force Museum, Gandhi Museum and the Archaeological Museum. The rich heritage of the yesteryears is preserved most gloriously in these museums of Delhi and someone who loves to delve into the culture and history of the past would definitely enjoy the tour. Post museum tour we return to hotel for dinner and night stay.

Next day post breakfast we embark on a city tour of Delhi. Delhi had been an important destination down the different eras and ruling periods and every time the different dynasties have left their relics upon the land of Delhi. Our Delhi city tour would include visiting the notable attractions of both old Delhi and New Delhi. The places we get to visit during this city tour include Laxmi Narayan Temple, Qutub Minar, Red Fort, India Gate, Parliament House, Lotus Temple, Swaminarayan Akshardham Temple. Post sightseeing we return to hotel for dinner and night stay.

Next morning post breakfast you’ll be dropped at Delhi airport where our representative sees you off and you proceed for your onward journey back home. Here ends this wonderful museum tour and you return home informed about the country’s rich past.
