Darjeeling Hill Station Tour Itinerary
Day 1 :Arrival in New Jalpaiguri Railway Station / Bagdogra Airport
Once you arrive at your allotted place of arrival you will immediately be driven to Darjeeling. While covering this journey, you will be crossing a number of pretty looking tea gardens and will make your journey worthwhile.
You can explore the nearby local places and try out the traditional cuisines like momos, Nepali thali, Thukpa, and of course the fragrant Darjeeling tea.
You will then be checked in to your hotel upon arriving in Darjeeling.
Day 2 :Darjeeling Sightseeing
Make sure you wake up early in the morning so that you witness the mesmerizing sunrise at tiger hill where you will also see the rays of the sun hit the Kanchenjunga chain of mountains.
Your next destination will be the holy site of Ghum monastery, which was established in the year 1850 and belongs to the Yiga Choeling and houses a massive 15 feet tall Lord Buddha statue. It is one of the prime centres of worship for Buddhists from all over Darjeeling.
You will be then taken for an excursion tour of the nearby places, like the famous natural rock climbing site of Tenzing Rock, which is named after the first man to climb Mount Everest along with Edmund Hillary.
Later on you will be taken to the largest high altitude zoo in India, PN zoological park, which is located at a whopping elevation of 7,000 feet. Here you will witness the red panda, Tibetan wolf, snow leopard and even Himalayan leopard.
Your final destination for a day of sightseeing will be the peace pagoda, a place where people and individuals from all races and creed can meditate and focus.
Before heading off to the hotel you can visit the nearby market places and shop for traditional souvenirs like Darjeeling tea, Tibetan artifacts, Tibetan bags, and even pictures of the beautiful hill station.
Day 3 :Darjeeling – Mirik – Darjeeling
Your day will be saved for an excursion tour of Darjeeling where you will be made to visit the town which faces the Sumendu Lake, Mirik. This picturesque tourist spot is increasingly becoming one of the prime destinations because of its easy accessibility, serene natural beauty and the unmatched tranquility. Upon arriving here you will be taken on a sightseeing visit to the Sumendu Lake, where you have the option for going horseback riding or boating on the pristine waters.
Apart from enjoying the raw, scenic beauty of Mirik, you can also take a stroll in the nearby Pashupati market and take away with you some memories of the wonderful hill town.
Your day will end with you heading back to your allotted hotel in Darjeeling.
Day 4 :Bagdogra Departure
After having a fulfilling breakfast in the morning you will be escorted to your allocated destination of either a railway station or an airport, after which your journey with us will end.
