The remainder of the day will be saved for you to mostly rangesnd explore the city on your own. Your day will start a few hours after sunrise since, the city remains engulfed in fog early in the morning, making your early morning visit not so fruitful. This day will be reserved for your sightseeing tour starting with a visit to one of the most famous attractions of Botanical gardens.

Make sure you plan your trip keeping in mind the blooming season of the flowers. In order to witness the flowers bursting with colors and in full bloom then the months of April, May and September are the most relevant. Your next destination is located at a small distance from the main town. The mesmerizing drive to Annamalai temple will give way to one of the most panoramic view of the surrounding lush green hills. Being one of the oldest temples atop a hill, this temple is dedicated to Lord Murugan. It is advised for you not to miss out on the cave temple which is located at just 20 minutes of walking distance. The walk will be worth it since the temple administration provides you with food items.

On your way back you will be made to visit another famous picnic spot of Avalanche Lake. This cool natural lake is the perfect spot for you to sit back, let your hair down and dip your feet in the pleasant and calm water. Your sightseeing trip will start off by visiting Dolphin’s nose point. This famous point gives you picturesque scenery of the Nilgiri hills.
