Buddhist Culture and Heritage Package

Upon arriving at Delhi our tour representative will help you in getting transferred to your allotted hotel for an overnight stay.

Early in the morning your exploration of the capital city will commence which will include some of the prime tourist destinations like: Jama Masjid – an architectural masterpiece which was commissioned by the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan; Gandhi memorial; Red fort – another red sandstone structure by Shah Jahan; Parliament house; India gate; Qutub Minar and Humayun’s tomb. These are some of the most wonderful heritage centres in Delhi.

After a full day of exploring these sites you will be made to head back to your hotel for an overnight stay.

Post breakfast early in the morning you will be made to leave for the city of Jaipur which is located at a distance of 5 hours and 20 minutes. Before entering the city you will be taken on a sightseeing of Amber Fort on an elephant or a jeep. Once you arrive at Jaipur you will be immediately checked in to your hotel where you will be spending the night. After resting for a while your sightseeing of Jaipur will commence this will cover places like: Jantar Mantar and city palace, both of which are the prime landmarks of this city.

After your breakfast in the morning, you will be made to leave for Agra, which is situated at a distance of 4 hours and 30 mines. En route you will be exploring the beautiful red sand stone city of Fatehpur Sikri. Once you arrive in Agra you will be immediately checked in to your hotel where you will be spending the night. Later on your sightseeing tour will cover Taj Mahal – the 7th wonder of the world and the neighboring Agra fort, which had served as the seat of the Mughal Empire. You will then head back to your hotel in Agra after this.

Keep in mind that Taj Mahal remains closed every Friday.

Post breakfast in the morning you will be made to board the train heading towards Jhansi which is located at a distance of almost 3 hours. On arriving at Jhansi you will be made to head on towards Khajuraho which is located at a distance of 4 hours and 30 mines. Upon reaching Khajuraho you will be made to immediately check in at your allotted hotel for an overnight stay.

Early in the morning after having your breakfast your sightseeing tour of Khajuraho will commence where you will be made to experience some of the most ancient and age-old temples which line up the entire region. Later you will be transferred to the airport where you will be made to board the flight heading onwards towards Varanasi. After completing a flight journey of 1 hour and 10 mines you will be reaching this holy town where our tour representative will meet and assist you to your allotted hotel for an overnight stay.

During daybreak at 5 am in the morning you will be taken on a boat ride on the holy river Ganga and made to experience the glorious sun rise. After having your breakfast you will be made to head on out towards the holy destination of Sarnath. After covering a journey of 45 mines you will reach the place where Lord Buddha had given his very first sermon after his enlightenment, making it one of the prime centres of Buddhist pilgrimage.

During the afternoon you will be made to explore some of the most famous temples in Varanasi which will be covering places like: The famous jyotirlinga of Kashi Vishwanath Mandir; Durga Mandir and the iconic Banaras Hindu University. You will then be made to head back to your hotel in Varanasi for an overnight stay.

You will be made to leave for Bodhgaya by road in the morning after breakfast which will be a journey of 6 hours. Upon arriving at Bodhgaya you will be immediately checked in to your allotted hotel for an overnight stay.

After completing your breakfast in the morning your half day sightseeing of Bodhgaya will kickstart where you will be taken to the following sites of tourist interest: Mahabodhi mandir where the bodhi tree under which Buddha had attained his enlightenment is also present. You will then be made to experience an assorted variety of stupas and Buddhist temples located here.

During the afternoon you will be free to do your leisurely activities before heading back to your hotel for an overnight stay.

After breakfast, you will be made to leave for Pata, which is located at a distance of 4 hours and 5 mines. En route you will be made to visit the classic heritage and cultural sites of Rajgir – Buddha’s favorite retreat and Nalanda – one of the oldest and the largest universities in the world where Buddha had taught Buddhism. Upon arriving at Patna you will be immediately checked in to your hotel for an overnight stay.

After having your breakfast in the morning your sightseeing tour of Patna will commence where you will be covering: Golghar and Patna Sahib Gurudwara. After this brief sightseeing, you will be assisted to the airport where you will be boarding the flight heading towards Delhi. Once you arrive in Delhi you will be made to board the flight heading back home or towards your preferred destination.
