Badrinath Puja Rates - Latest Pooja Rates and Timings

The darshan for the presiding deity of Badri Vishal is free for everyone no matter the caste, creed or religion. No tax depending on the philosophy is levied. However in case you want to get some special puja ritual / aarti or path done then some amount will be paid by you to the temple treasury and you will be provided with a receipt which will be issued to you by a temple employee. The money that is received by the temple administration is put to use by them towards the welfare of the pilgrims and devotees along with some amount being used in maintenance work.
The morning puja starts early in the morning at 4:30 am and lasts till 6:30 am. Given below are the rates for various different puja rituals: | |

Temple Timings:
The temple opens up early in the morning at 4:30 am when the morning rituals of the temple commences. The darshan then continues on, uninterrupted, till 1 pm. The temple is closed off for a short recess from 1 pm to 4 pm in the afternoon. After 4 pm the darshan commences again before finally closing off for the day at 9 pm at night, after the final aarti of the day is completed.
Opening and Closing Dates:
Opening Dates: The gates of Badrinath dham are opened up each year for darshan to the devotees either during the end of April or the beginning of May. The dates for the opening is announced during the holy occasion of Basant Panchmi and the presiding deity of Badrinath Ji is brought to the main dham shrine from its winter home with great enthusiasm and zeal.
Closing Dates: The closing of the temple kapat is announced during the auspicious eve of Vijayadashami each year. Right before the zealous closing ceremony takes place and the idol for the presiding deity is shifted to its winter abode, the head priest lights up an Akhand Jyoti with illuminates the entire insides of the temple.
