Varanasi Sarnath Bodhgaya Tour Itinerary
Day 1 :Arrival in Varanasi
You will be received by our tour representative upon your arrival in Varanasi who will assist you to your allotted hotel for an overnight stay.
In the evening you will be made to be a part of the mesmerizing Ganga Aarti which takes place in the teeming ghats of the holy River Ganga. You also have the option of witnessing the glorious aarti from a boat ride, whose cost will be incurred by your own.
Day 2 :Varanasi – Sarnath
Early in the morning, you will be taken on a blissful morning boat ride on top of the holy River Ganga from where you will witness the majestic sunrise. You will be escorted back to your hotel for a wholesome breakfast. After this you will be taken on a brief temple sightseeing tour of the city where you will be covering: Kashi Vishwanath Mandir – one of the prime centres of pilgrimage for devout Hindus which is dedicated to Lord Shiva and one of the 12 jyotirlingas in the world; Bharat Mata Mandir – which is home to an extremely detailed map of undivided India; Sankat Mochan Hanuman Mandir – dedicated to Lord Hanuman and Tulsi Manas Mandir – where Goswami Tulsidas had gotten the idea to write Ramcharitmanas.
Later in the afternoon, you will be made to proceed towards Sarnath for an excursion, which is located at a distance of 45 mines from Varanasi. The prime attractions here are dedicated to Lord Buddha which includes: Dhamek stupa – where ascetics were buried in a seated position; Chaukhandi Stupa – which serves as the shrine for Buddhist relic.
In the evening you will be driven back to Varanasi where you have the option of shopping the local marketplaces. You will then be made to head back to your hotel for an overnight stay.
You will be made to visit some of the holiest places in Sarnath like Dhamek stupa, Chaukhandi stupa and the prime attraction of the archeological museum. The evening time is free for you to indulge in activities you feel, like shopping, relaxing in the hotel etc.
Day 3 :Varanasi – Bodhgaya
Post breakfast you will be made to transfer to Bodhgaya which is located at a distance of 5 hours and 30 mines. After getting checked in to your allotted hotel you will be made to head on for sightseeing tour of Bodhgaya where you will be covering the following places: Sita Kund – a prime Hindu pilgrimage destination which is dedicated to goddess Sita and Janki mandir. You will finally be made to head back to your hotel in Bodhgaya for an overnight stay.
Day 4 :Bodhgaya – Gaya – Varanasi
After breakfast, you will be made to head on towards Varanasi, which is located at a distance of 5 hours and 50 mines. On your way you will be taken on a sightseeing of Gaya which is at a distance of half an hour from the main city of Bodhgaya. In Gaya you will be made to visit the prime Lord Vishnu Mandir of Vishnupad – which is home to the sacred footprints of the lord himself. You will also be taken to the following places in Gaya: Japanese Temple, Chinese temple, Tibetan temple, Phalguna temple.
Finally, you will be driven to Varanasi where you will be checked in to your allotted hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 5 :Varanasi Departure
After having your breakfast, the morning time is free for your leisurely activities. Later you will be dropped at the railway station or airport hence ending the trip.
