Sri Lanka Sita Tour Package

Upon your arrival at the Colombo international airport, you will be greeted by our tour representative who will transfer you to your allotted hotel. After getting checked in to your hotel where you will be given some time to freshen up and relax.

In the evening you will be taken for a visit to the temple of tooth relic. It is a Buddhist temple that houses the remains of Gautam buddha’s teeth. Here you will be taking part in the elaborate aarti and puja ceremony. This will be followed by a cultural show where you will get to know more about the dance and musical performance of the traditional local people of Sinhalese.

After having a wholesome breakfast in the morning you will proceed to the next destination of Matale. Here you will be visiting the traditional Tamil temple or the Kovil dedicated to Muthumariamman. Afterward, you will be taken across the Riverston mountain range to visit the iconic ram temple here along with the newly identified Ramayana sites of Yahangala and Yakkala.

Walking along the jungle trails and paths will; then lead you to the very first abode where Sita was kept after her captivity in Sita Kotuwa. Another interesting trail site near this is close to a waterfall and monastery known as Gurulupotha.

On the way back to Kandy you will be able to enjoy the scenic sweeping highlands of the northeastern end of the Sri Lankan island called knuckles range. After an exciting day out you will be headed to your next destination for the day in Kandy. Here you will be checked into your hotel for an overnight stay.

Post breakfast in the morning, you will be checked out of your hotel and taken out for a full day city tour of Nuwara Eliya. After a complete day of Kandy sightseeing and shopping, you will be taken to your next destination of Nuwara Eliya.

A visit to Rangoda Falls will also take place which will involve a small uphill hike so make sure to wear a good pair of shoes. There is also a small Hanuman Mandir situated right next to the falls. People not fond of trekking can also go there via three-wheeler services.

The 2nd half of the trip will take you to the mountainous part of Sri Lanka where lord hanuman had wandered looking for Sita Mata. This region is also called the Sundar Kand region and is known for its extraordinary, untouched natural beauty.

Finally, you will be headed back to your hotel in Nuwara Eliya for an overnight stay.

Early in the morning you will be checked out of your hotel in Nuwara Eliya and taken for a full day of city tour and sightseeing. Post breakfast your first destination will be a visit to the temple called Sita Amman or Sita Eliya. This is believed to be the very first place where Sita Mata was held as a captive and also goes by the name of Ashok Vatika.

Post this you will be headed to the next destination of a Buddhist Gompa in Divurumpola. As per Ramayana, this was the place where Sita Mata had to go through her fire ordeal or Agni Pariksha.

Post lunch you will be preceded to the next destination of Ella. Here you will be able to visit another Ramayana site which is located at the Ella Gap called Ravana Ella Falls.

Finally, you will be taken to your hotel in Kataragama. Here before checking in to your hotel you will be taken for an evening Aarti puja ceremony at the Kataragama shrine.

You shall be staying the night at the hotel in Kataragama.

After breakfast in the morning, you will be taken all along the southern coast of Sri Lanka. You will also be taken to the site which is believed to be the site where lord hanuman had carried out the burning of Lanka. Other places where to visit will be Unawatuna, Rumassala Rock, Galle, and Seenigam Island.

By late afternoon or evening, you will be headed to Colombo where on arrival you will be checked in to your hotel for dinner and an overnight stay. If there is time and if you want, then you can head out for a small city tour of Colombo.

After having your breakfast in the morning you will be checked out of your hotel and taken to the international airport. The drop-off at the airport will mark the end of your Sri Lanka Sita Tour Package with us.
