Alaknanda River Rafting Tour Itinerary
Day 1 :Delhi – Haridwar (5 Hours 30 Mines)
Upon your arrival in Delhi, our tour representative will transfer you to Haridwar on road. Upon reaching Haridwar you will be checked into your allotted hotel and after relaxing for a bit your local sightseeing tour of Haridwar will begin.
Your afternoon time will commence on a holy note with a visit to some of the most highly revered temple in the area. This will start with a visit to Mansa Devi Mandir.
Located comfortably on top of Bilwa Parvat this temple is dedicated to goddess Mansa Devi, who is a form of shakti. It is said that this temple is a must visit site for every pilgrim visiting Haridwar. One can either trek or utilize the ropeway service to reach the mandir.
Next in line is the visit to Daksheswara Mahadev temple which is dedicated to Lord Shiva and is made in the same spot where Sati’s father performed the famous yajna where she jumped inside the fire out of spite. Standing along the main temple is a Rudraksha tree which is also worshipped because of its medicinal qualities.
You will then be taken to Har Ki Pauri where you will witness the grand and spiritually evoking Ganga Aarti. After this you will be taken back to your hotel where you will be served a fulfilling dinner along with an overnight stay.
Day 2 :Haridwar – Rishikesh (1 Hour)
After having a fulfilling breakfast meal, you will be driven to Rishikesh. Upon your arrival, you will be checked into your hotel. After relaxing and stretching your backs for a little bit you will head on for your rafting excursion.
The rafting experience in Rishikesh has always been in demand by travelers and adventure seekers. This rafting journey will take you through 20km of exciting river.
After having an adrenaline pumping experience you will be taken back to your hotel in Rishikesh for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 3 :Rishikesh – Kaldubagarh
After having a wholesome breakfast meal in the morning, you will be taken to Kaldubagarh by road which takes 6 to 7 hours to reach. On your way you will be made to visit two of the most famous Hindu pilgrimage sites of Devprayag and Rudraprayag, which is are a part of the Panch Prayag pilgrimage. You will be made to visit some of the most famous temples there, which will start with Koteshwar mandir.
Koteshwar Mahadev temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and is located in the heart of Rudraprayag district. The place is considered to be highly sacred since it is said that Lord Shiva had stopped at this place to meditate while on his way to Kedarnath. This place is considered to be extremely important for Hindu devotee.
Next in spot will be the Dhari Devi mandir which is located on the banks of River Alaknanda. The temple houses the upper half idol of goddess Dhari, who is considered as the guardian deity of Uttarakhand and the protector of char dham.
After finally reaching Kaldubagarh you will be checked in to your allotted camp for a delicious dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 4 :Kaldubagarh – Chamoli – Kaldubagarh
Post breakfast you will be taken to Chamoli for a fun packed day. Here your rafts will be waiting for an exciting adventure.
While rafting you will be fighting off some of the most outrageous currents and rapids. No need to worry you will be briefed about the techniques and safety instructions before you go off. Finally, you will return to your camp for a delicious dinner meal and an overnight stay.
Day 5 :Kaldubagarh – Gauchar
After having a fulfilling breakfast meal in the morning you will be taken for an experience to remember in Gauchar where you will be checked into a hotel.
You will be rafting till Gauchar facing intense rapids finally reaching the confluence of Pindar at Karnaprayag. This confluence is as important as the Triveni Sangam but it is much more intensive on a raft. This happens because the water from the Pindar River empties into Alaknanda River making the rapids, even more, raging adding that extra punch to your experience.
Finally, you will head back towards your hotel for a scrumptious dinner meal and an overnight stay.
Day 6 :Gauchar – Rishikesh – Haridwar – Delhi
After having some delicious breakfast meal your final day will commence with you experiencing some of the best grade rapids. These rapids will take you all the way to Rudraprayag on the raft boats itself.
Upon your arrival in Rudraprayag, you will be made to enjoy grade 5 rapids at the Kakar falls. You will finally cross the grade 4 rapid, also known as the holy hole.
Once your rafting trip comes to an end you will be taken to Haridwar via Rishikesh.
Once in Haridwar, you will experience the calming Ganga Aarti at Har ki Pauri. Once the Aarti ends you will then be taken to Delhi from where you can continue onwards to your desired destination.
