IRCTC Kanyakumari Rameshwaram Madurai Tour

You will be asked to report at the Chennai Egmore Railway Station from where you will embark on your tour for Kanyakumari – Rameswaram – Madurai. The tour representative will meet you at the Railway station and greet you with your welcome drinks.

Upon your arrival in Kanyakumari in the morning, you will be escorted to your hotel room where you will follow some check-in formalities and do a quick freshen up session.

Then, you will go on the sightseeing tour of Kanyakumari. You will first visit Kumari Amman Temple which is a beautiful architectural piece located on the confluence of the Bay of Bengal, the Indian Ocean, and the Arabian Sea. Here, an idol of Goddess Parvati is worshipped reverently, and during the sunset, the temple becomes a viewpoint for the marvelous sight of the sun falling deep into the Ocean.

Then, you can visit the Vivekananda Rock Memorial which is located in a small island in Kanyakumari and proudly showcases its beautiful background of the Indian Ocean. Next will be Thiruvalluvar Statue which is a massive statue standing at a height of 133 meters. And surrounded by a picturesque view from every side. Thiruvalluvar statue is dedicated to the famous Tamil poet and philosopher Thiruvalluvar.

(Note: You will be dropped at Kumari Amman Temple and all these places are in walking distances so, you will visit all these places on your own.)

Then, you will be dropped at the sunset point from where you will see a beautiful picture of the orange meeting the Indian Ocean. You will then explore the Wax Museum located in the vicinity of sunset point. Then, the driver will drop you at the shopping point as per your wish otherwise, you can head back to your hotel room for an overnight stay.

Next day, you will do an early morning check-out and move to your next location which is Rameswaram. You will reach Rameswaram in the afternoon and you will perform some check-in formalities. Then, you have the whole day to explore all the famous places of Rameswaram to checkout on your own.

The famous places that you can explore in Rameswaram are Rameswaram temple (a very popular temple which beautifully details the old-Dravidian architectural design with a perfect blend of spirituality. There is a huge Shiva Lingam in this temple which is worshipped reverently by the people of the Hindu community.), Glass Boat ride at Pamban Bridge (You can also check-out the glass boat ride at Pamban Bridge where you can spot different species of fish.), and Agnitheertham (which is a very sacred bathing Ghat located on the beachside of Rameswaram temple, and people believe that a holy dip in the water washes away one’s sin.)

Then, you can head back to your hotel room where you can enjoy your overnight stay.

Next day, you will be escorted to Madurai which is only about 3 hours away from Rameswaram.

You can refresh yourself at the Madurai Bus stand and will embark on your sightseeing tour of Madurai. The places that you can visit in Madurai are Meenakshi Temple (The temple is located on the banks of the River Vaigai where the idols of Goddess Parvati and Lord Shiva are worshipped), Thirumalai Nayakar Mahal (which is a very famous monumental site where you can witness the warmth of old-Dravidian style architecture with the perfect mix of modernization.), and Gandhi Museum (which is served as a remembrance to the struggles of Mahatma Gandhi who fought against Britishers for the Independence of India. Here, you can spot many artefacts depicting the life journey of Mahatma Gandhi.)

Then, you will depart for Chennai on a night train.
