Valley of Flowers Trek Itinerary Package

Day 1 :Arrival in Haridwar/Rishikesh

The nearest and most convenient destination to start your journey towards the Valley of Flowers is Haridwar. You can reach here via air route, railways or roadways. Once you reach Haridwar, check in to your hotel and relax for a while. Take this day as slow as you can.

Do not miss visiting the Ganga Aarti at the Ghats or either Haridwar or Rishikesh. Explore the local attractions like Parmarth Ashram and Beetle’s Ashram. Attend the trek briefing in the evening as it is a long trek and you need to know the Do’s and Don’ts. Have a sound sleep in the night and gear up for the upcoming trek.

Day 2 :Rishikesh to Joshimath

You will start your day with a beautiful drive to Joshimath. Joshimath is a sacred town that is a base for a lot of major treks of North India. The journey from Rishikesh to Joshimath is full of scenic views. Check in to your stay in Joshimath, and relax for a while. Your body would need some time to acclimatize to the higher altitude. Attend a trek briefing in the evening and gear up for the Valley of Flowers trek on the next day.

Day 3 :Joshimath to Govindghat and Ghangaria Trek

Govindghat is your base to start the Ghangaria Trek and it is just 20 minutes away from Joshimath. You will be going for a small drive to Govindghat in the morning. Once you reach Govindghat, you will start the trek towards Ghangaria. This is going to be an amazingly adventurous trek with a scenic view all around and you walk amid the lush green forest. This trek goes along the beautiful Pushpawati River.

This trek is one of the crucial treks toward the Valley of Flowers, and you have to trek for 6 hours straight to reach here. It is a moderate-level trek, so you have to ensure that you are fit enough and prepared for this one. Once you reach Ghangaria, check in to your accommodation. Have a nice dinner and rest up. Have a sound sleep and prepare for the next day.

Day 4 :Ghangaria Level to Valley of Flowers and Back

Start your trek early in the morning and it will take you approximately 5-6 hours to reach the Valley of Flowers from Ghangaria if you are git enough. The trek is really an experience in itself as the views on the way are breathtaking.

Once you reach there, take some time to appreciate and adore the beauty of the mesmerizing valley of flowers. Ensure that to start trekking back towards Ghangaria before the sun sets. Once you are back, relax in Ghangaria.

Day 5 :Trek towards Hemkund Sahib

Start your trek towards Hemkund Sahib in the morning. Explore Hemkund Sahib Gurudwara and the serene lake. Hemkund Sahib is a very important place from a spiritual point of view and a lot of devotees visit here throughout the year. Trek back to Ghangaria on the same day and rest in your accommodation after having a nice and warm dinner.

Day 6 :Ghangaria to Govindghat Trek and Drive towards Joshimath

Trek back towards Govindghat and then drive back to Joshimath. If you feel active, you can explore Joshimath a bit, relax, and rest in your accommodation.

Day 7 :Drive back to Haridwar/Rishikesh

Start your day early and reach back to Haridwar/Rishikesh. Head back to your city on the same day.
