Symphony of Kerala Tour Itinerary

Day 1 :Arrival at Cochin

Arrival at Cochin airport/Railway station. Guests will be greeted and received by Atlas Travel Services representative. By road to Kumarakom (80 kms / 2 hours), Check-in to your resort.Rest of the day in leisure. Guests can opt for swinging, fishing or just spending time by lazily gazing at the far away horizons of backwaters.

Day 2 :Check-in to Houseboat

Places of Visit: Check-in to Houseboat- cruising in the houseboat on the Kayals towards Alappuzha- overnight stay in the houseboat

Check out from the resort after breakfast. Houseboat will be waiting for you in the backwater banks (originally built to carry consignments of rice in the olden days .With a facelift now they are fully fledged houseboats).Check in to houseboat and cruise through the backwaters viewing coconut groves and paddy fields on the reclaimed blocks of lands. All meals will be served in houseboats. Houseboat will anchor in the canal banks for night. Overnight stay on board houseboat.

Day 3 :Cochin sightseeing

Places of Visit: Check-out from the Houseboat- Transfer to Cochin- Site seeing at Cochin – Visiting Heritage centers- Evening at Cherai Beach- back to the hotel for overnight stay.

After breakfast houseboat will drop you at Alappuzha. Your cab will pick you up from the embarkation point and proceed towards Cochin (70 kms / 2 hours).Check in to your Cochin hotel. After a short rest at hotel guests will be taken around for Cochin sightseeing.

Visiting – St Francis Church (Built-in 1503 by Portuguese. This is India’s first European church. Portuguese explorer, Vasco da Gama, was buried here in 1524.), Santa Cruz Basilica (Built by Portuguese in 1506.In 1795 demolished by British, and again reconstructed in 1887. The dilapidated doors and woodworks are the main attraction here), Dutch Cemetery (Tombs of Dutch traders and soldiers), Fort Cochin beach, Chinese fishing nets (Brought to Cochin between 1350 and 1450 AD by the traders from the court of Kubla khan.), Princess street to view the traditional European style, picturesque houses, Ruins of Fort Immanuel, Jewish Synagogue ((Built in 1568), Spice market, Dutch palace (Built around the year 1555 by Portuguese).

Evening at Cherai beach. Back to Cochin hotel and overnight stay.

Day 4 :Departure

Places of Visit: Souvenir Shopping and at Malls in Cochin- Departure from Cochin.

Visiting Shopping malls and Broadway for souvenir shopping. Departure from Cochin airport/railway station.
